The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research is a non-profit, international, educational and scientific organization promoting the science of pharmacoeconomics and health outcomes research. ISPOR is organized to act as a scientific leader relevant to research in pharmacoeconomics, health outcomes assessment, and related issues of public policy.

ISPOR represents researchers and practitioners including pharmacists, physicians, economists, and other professionals involved in pharmacoeconomic analysis and health outcomes assessment as well as users of this information in health care decisions such as in hospitals, managed care and pharmacy benefit design organizations personnel.

ISPOR provides a forum to facilitate the interchange of scientific knowledge in pharmacoeconomics and patient health outcomes and encourages communication of this information to the general public by educating public and private organizations on the usefulness of research in PE and OR. The ISPOR outreach program includes global outreach through its Regional Chapters and Asia and Latin America Consortia as well as outreach to health care researchers and decision-makers through its annual meetings and educational programs. ISPOR recognizes the importance of partnering with pharmacoeconomic and outcomes researchers and health care decision-makers from around the world to develop and expand knowledge at the regional level. The total number of ISPOR members including ISPOR Chapter members is now more than 7000 people worldwide.
