The ISPOR Asia Consortium, a group within the organizational structure of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), consists of individuals interested in the science of pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research and its use in health care decisions in Asia. It was initiated in September 2003 in Kobe, Japan during the ISPOR 1st Asia-Pacific Conference and officially formed in August 2004 by twelve founding members from China mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea (South), Singapore, Thailand, and USA. To date, with Seventy two members, the Consortium has expended to India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippine, Indonesia, and Mongolia in Asia, and to Australia, France, and Switzerland in non-Asian countries.
