We thank the letter’s authors for their thoughtful engagement with our article and for highlighting valuable areas for further research. Dementia intervention research has broadened from a focus purely on the person living with dementia to approaches that also address caregiver needs that are crucial to many aspects of the path of dementia. Caregiver needs and outcomes are essential to stabilize the home care situation in dementia and are key mediating variables for patient outcomes. Therefore, we welcome the opportunity to address the concerns raised and to clarify certain aspects of our study.
