The Need for Transparency in Simulations

Simulation modeling is a great way to answer complex questions. However, there is always some doubt: how can we have confidence in the results?

The answer is two-fold: 1) models should be validated and calibrated against the best available evidence, and 2) validation and calibration results should be available to users.

Archimedes has done both with the online healthcare simulator: ARCHeS. Download several 60-page reports at: archimedesmodel.com/arches-transparency, or visit Archimedes at booth #3 at the ISPOR 17th Annual International Meeting.
