NEW Patient Registry SIG
As addressed by
Using Real World Data for Coverage and Reimbursement Task Force,
there is a need for good research practices for collecting and reporting
“real world” data. Patient registries are one source of these data.
To enhance and support the development of good research practices
for patient registries and the use of this information in health care
decisions, ISPOR has launched three new Patient Registry SIG Working Groups
to address key patient registry issues as follows:

Brazil Local Chapter Congress
ISPOR Brazil Local Chapter Congress was successfully held 27-28 March in
Brazil. Over 250 attended,
including over 50 key government officials and attendees from health management organizations,
industry, and acadamia.

China Shanghai Chapter inaugural meeting was held March 9, 2007 in
Over 60 people attended, including many officials from the
governments and other provincial government agencies.
