AMCP/ISPOR/NPC Tool Kit for Decision Makers
ISPOR will convene a focus group with AMCP members involved in formulary decision making during the AMCP 24th Annual Meeting & Expo (April 18-20, 2012), to solicit feedback on a set of ‘Assessment Tools’ to evaluate retrospective studies, prospective studies, network meta-analysis studies, and modeling studies. These tools are part of the AMCP/ISPOR/NPC Comparative Effective Research Collaborative Initiative to develop a user-friendly toolkit to help decision makers navigate through the various types of studies (used to generate outcomes research information) to enhance the formulary decision-making process. “Health Economics, Technology Assessment
and Market Access”

For the first time, a fall session of the 3-week course “Health Economics of Pharmaceuticals and other Medical Interventions,” will be organized. This course is supported by faculty from academia, authorities and industry and has been running over 20 times and in excess of 500 students have participated. The fall session is modular where each week can also be taken alone. The course addresses issues for both pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
Economics of health care, health policy, health technology assessment, market access in key markets, pricing in a global environment, overview of economic evaluation.
