Advanced Modelling Techniques in Health Technology Assessments and Real-World Evidence Generation
ISPOR Singapore Chapter held courses on Advanced Modelling Techniques in Health Technology Assessments (HTA) and Real-World Evidence Generation on 26-27 of February 2019 lead by expert Professor J. Jaime Caro.
Courses included:
Tuesday, 26 February (Focus: Health Technology Assessment)
- Introduction to modelling for HTA
- Discretely integrated Condition Event (DICE)
Wednesday, 27 February (Focus: Real-World Data)
- Simulation to address missing head-to-head clinical trials
- SAVES-Simulation techniques to improve the efficiency of post-marketing registries
New Executive Committee Team for ISPOR-S 2018-2019

On 21st September, ISPOR-S held their AGM and elected the new executive committee team for ISPOR-S 2018-19.
The new members of the Executive Committee are:
- Assistant Professor Wee Hwee-Lin as President
- Dr John Tayu Lee as Immediate Past President
- Ms (Viva) Yan Ma as Vice President
- Ms Caitlin Asjes as Treasurer
- Mr Brandon Chua as Secretary
ISPOR-S 2018 Educational workshop series
Evidence synthesis: systematic review, meta-analysis & network meta-analysis 26 May 2018
News! Ten ISPOR Singapore Chapter members attended this one-day workshop led by Dr. David Wu.
The workshop covered four areas:
- Impetus for systematic reviews and meta-analysis;
- Basic steps to perform a quantitative systematic review;
- Statistical methods of MA/NMA;
- Hands-on of MA/NMA using statistical software.
There was a good mix of participants’ profile. The workshop included a practical session to reinforce the concepts of meta-analysis and network meta-analysis. Dr. Wu facilitated the session that allowed interaction between facilitator and participants. We thank Dr. Wu and all participants for spending their time on a weekend with us!
