HealthNetIndia formed within the organization structure of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) Asia Consortium, is a network of Indian chapters and healthcare stakeholders who are knowledgeable in the development and effective use of pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research.
The mission of HealthNetIndia, consistent with the mission of ISPOR, is to support effective pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research (PEOR) collaborations among Indian colleagues to raising the awareness of the development and effective use of PEOR in the health care system and policy making in India.
The objectives of HealthNetIndia are:
- To promote the awareness and the use of PEOR in India through the activities of the chapters in HealthNetIndia.
- To provide guidance and useful information in the development of health policy in India.
- To support researchers and decision-makers by establishing resources and training courses on the research, tools, techniques, and methods.
- To create opportunities to share knowledge and ideas by connecting Indian PEOR colleagues in and outside India.
Members of the Asia Consortium HealthNetIndia represent individuals who study or work in the field of PEOR in or outside India. ISPOR membership is not a criterion for membership, but is highly recommended to facilitate the growth of PEOR activities in the Asia Consortium HealthNetIndia.
News! HealthNetIndia Meeting was held on May 19, 2015 during ISPOR 20th Annual International Meeting in Philadelphia, PA, USA. The meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Sunita Nair of India Chapter (New Delhi) and Dr. Nayanabhirama Udupa of India-Karnataka Chapter. During the meeting, latest draft of PE Guidelines for India was presented by Dr. Udupa, and guest speakers Dr. Dr. Bhagwan Aggarwal and Dr. Jitendar Sharma shared their suggestions of activities that could accomplish the current initiatives and help developing health economics and outcomes research across entire India.
HealthNetIndia Meeting was held on September 8, 2014 during ISPOR 6th Asia-Pacific Conference in Beijing, China. The meeting was co-chaired by Professor Anantha Naik Nagappa and Dr. Nayanabhirama Udupa of India-Karnataka Chapter during which the latest draft of PE Guidelines for India was presented and suggestions of new initiatives were received.
HealthNetIndia Meeting was held on June 3, 2014 during ISPOR 19th International Meeting in Montreal, QC, Canada. The meeting discussions were focused on the development of the PE Guidelines for India, HealthNetIndia’s participation at the ISPOR forum at ISPOR 6th Asia-Pacific Conference and initiatives.
HealthNetIndia held the first meeting on May 22, 2013 during ISPOR 18th International Meeting in New Orleans, LA, USA. The meeting officially announced the formation of the Indian PEOR network, HealthNetIndia and introduced its mission, objectives and initiatives.
