OBJECTIVES The aim was at assembling published evidence on treatments for RAS wild-type (wt) (KRAS and NRAS exon 2,3,4) metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) to evaluate the efficacy and safety of cetuximab in combination with FOLFOX or FOLFIRI chemotherapy as first line treatment of these patients. The outcomes of interest were progression free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), overall response (ORR), and adverse event data METHODS A systematic literature search was performed on the 24th March 2014 in Medline, Embase, and The Cochrane Library to identify all randomized controlled trials (RCTs) as well as single arm trials concerning the efficacy and safety of first line interventions of interest in patients with RAS wt mCRC.
