ISPOR Press Pass Application Deadline for Virtual ISPOR Europe 2021: November 16, 2021
Members of the media are requested to send ISPOR examples of their coverage after the conference. We ask that the conference name and date be appropriately credited (eg, "from Virtual ISPOR Europe 2021 held 30 November - 3 December 2021") in all media coverage, including print news stories, e-newsletters, web postings, blogs, and/or video coverage. The first reference to ISPOR should be written as "ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research," after which "ISPOR" can be used. All print, broadcast, and electronic media clips/write-ups, etc, should be sent to ISPOR Communications at email@example.com. ISPOR does not share, rent, or distribute media registration information.
ISPOR supports the promotion of research presented at its conferences, while safeguarding sensitive information, data, and research findings that are not yet available to the public. Due to the sensitive and preliminary nature of data and unpublished research findings, all filming (photos + video) and recording of sessions and research posters is prohibited during the conference. Conference attendees must gain approval from a speaker or poster presenter prior to quoting or publishing that individual's scientific results. Members of the press must identify themselves as such before questioning speakers and conference attendees if using the information in a professional capacity.
ISPOR's Embargo and Legal policies must be noted.
Contributed research presenters at ISPOR conferences who are issuing press releases relating to their contributed research presentation are required to abide by the following ISPOR Press Release Embargo Policy.
For Contributed Research Presentations at ISPOR Conferences:
Promotion of general topics, speakers, or presentation times is permitted and encouraged within the stated guidelines.
- For press releases referring ONLY to information contained in the contributed research abstract, [ie, information limited to OBJECTIVES, METHODS, RESULTS, and CONCLUSIONS of the abstract], all information is embargoed until the abstract has been published to the ISPOR conference program at www.ispor.org; or to the ISPOR Scientific Presentations Database.
- For press releases referring to information which go beyond that contained in the contributed research abstract [ie, OBJECTIVES, METHODS, RESULTS, and CONCLUSIONS of the abstract] such as additional analysis, commentary, or updated information from those individuals and companies involved in the study, the information is embargoed until it has been presented at the specific ISPOR conference to which it was submitted and accepted. Presented research abstracts will be published online in Value in Health or Value in Health Regional Issues after the conference.
