Purpose: To examine how HEOR professionals and organizations can navigate and shape an evolving global health policy environment, with particular focus on the US context. The session will explore the shifting relationship between value, price, and evidence; the growing complexity of international HTA frameworks; and how the HEOR community can build the cross-functional collaborations needed to ensure that emerging pricing and access policies remain grounded in evidence.

Description: The session will open with context-setting framing the evolution of health policy from safety and efficacy assessment toward value-based pricing, with attention to mechanisms such as MFN and IRP and the expanding network of HTA bodies globally (Sulabha). The session will then move into a moderated conversational panel discussion organized around four themes: how panelists across sectors are responding to the current policy environment; how value is defined and demonstrated in a landscape where cost risks becoming the sole measure of worth; whether evidence-based decision making will endure as HTA bodies reconsider their methodological frameworks; and what partnerships, skills, and cross-functional engagements HEOR professionals must develop to remain effective. Each theme will be opened by a designated lead panelist and followed by open discussion. The session will conclude with audience Q&A and brief closing takeaways from each panelist.
