Call For Nominations 2019 – 2020 ISPOR Board of Directors

The ISPOR Nominations Committee is pleased to announce the call for nominees to serve as President-Elect of the 2019 – 2020 Board of Directors.

There are no openings for Directors presently. In 2017 terms for Directors was changed from 2 to 3 years. This change in terms has resulted in no Director vacancies every 3 years. There will be 3 Director vacancies in 2020 and 4 in 2021.

ISPOR is a member-driven organization that relies on the participation of its members to fulfill the organization’s mission. By participating on the ISPOR Board, you lend your leadership, expertise, and vision to the discipline of health economics and outcomes research. 

Open Board Positions:

  • President-Elect


  • President-Elect term commences on July 1, 2019, and serves for three years: one year as President-Elect, one year as President, and one year as Past President

Board Objectives:

The Board of Directors drives ISPOR’s strategic direction and is responsible for the management of the Society, including its committees, publications, budget, and governance. The Board is the policy-making body of the Society.

Nominations Process:

As an ISPOR member, you are encouraged to submit a nomination for a colleague or for yourself. However, please note that only self-nominations are accepted for the Treasurer position.

  • Please complete the appropriate form for President-Elect and return the completed form and an updated copy of the nominee’s curriculum vitae to
  • Self-nominations are encouraged
  • Nominations for President-Elect roles close on January 1, 2019

Review Process:

The Nominations Committee reviews potential candidates and nominates two members President-Elect. will be presented to the Board of Directors for consideration and appointment.

Candidates will be announced on the ISPOR website, and copies of the nominee’s biographies and personal vision statements will be posted online.

Members are encouraged to cast their vote from March 1 through May 1, 2019. The new President-Elect will be formally announced at the ISPOR 2019 Conference in New Orleans, LA, USA (May 18 –22, 2019).
