  • Patients Registries: The Role of Health System, New Trends and Hopes for Polish Patients, March 19, 2015, Hotel Radisson Blu Sobieski, Warsaw, Poland
Scientific conference organized under the auspices of the Polish Pharmacoeconomic Society (ISPOR Poland Chapter) and the Journal of Health Policy & Outcomes Research (JHPOR)

Patients registries are collected data, based on a standardized description of the patient and identification of methods used for the procedure, in order to determine the specific effects in the study population. Measured effects can affect different areas: health outcomes, therapeutics or medicine policy, and even the sociology of patients’ behavior.  May patients records improve the functioning of health care? Can we get more benefits from patient registries in Poland? How do other countries use this knowledge? These and other questions will be addressed during the conference by international experts and representatives of the Polish health institutions. The conference will end with the postulate of the "seven milestones", presenting recommendations for the role of patient registries functioning in Poland. For questions, please contact: konferencja@jhpor.com

Therapeutic and Diagnostic Device Outcomes Research - Translated into Polish!
The translation has been completed by regional experts and members of ISPOR Poland Chapter

“Therapeutic and Diagnostic Device Outcomes Research is the first such comprehensive publication available in Polish language, which as a whole deals with the subject of clinical effectiveness assessment and economic efficiency of products used in medical diagnosis and treatment. It provides necessary information for the Polish medical decision makers, payers, health care experts, analysts, clinicians and patients. It is a very important element of Pharmacoeconomic education. We have dealt so far mainly with drugs and now we have a ‘bible’ for medical devices. I am sure that this translation will be welcomed by Polish readers with a high interest and attention.” - Joanna Lis, MSc, PhD, President, ISPOR Poland Chapter.
