In coordination with Pfizer, the Chapter organized one-day conference entitled "The Role of Empowered Decision-Making in Ensuring Access to Quality Care and Rationalizing Healthcare Costs in the Philippines" on 11 November, 2015 at the Asian Institute of Management, Makati City.
The seminar "Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs): Focus on Quality of Life" was held on 5 May at RBE Auditorium, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH).
The Chapter supported and attended the workshop “Health-related Quality of Life Measurement: The Role of the EQ-5D” conducted by The Department of Health through the National Center for Pharmaceutical Access and Management in November 6, 2014 at the Heritage Hotel, Pasay City. The workshop was led by international experts from EuroQol and UK NICE. Professor Nina T. Castillo-Carandang presented their team’s experience on using EQ5D among adult Filipinos (20-50 years old) in the Life Course Study in Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology (LIFECARE).

In cooperation with Pfizer Inc., Philippines Chapter conducted a two- day training workshop on Health Services & Outcomes Research (HSOR) in 28-29 October, 2014 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria. This workshop introduced strategies and methodologies employed in HSOR and included discussions on Health Economic Evaluation, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), and Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Evaluation Research. Experts from the Health Services and Outcomes Research (HSOR) unit of Singapore’s National Healthcare Group and Dr. Jim P. Doherty, (ISPOR Asia Consortium Founding Member; and currently with Pfizer International) spoke at the workshop. Ninety participants representing local academic and research institutions, hospital research teams, pharmaceutical companies, and the national health department attended the workshop.
