Event Registration Information

Browser Requirements
In general, to register on-line, you will need a modern browser, such as Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, FireFox or Chrome. The newer the browser, the faster registration process. Browser updates may be downloaded for free from here: Internet Explorer     Firefox      Chrome.

If a window opens up, your browser is set correctly. If a window didn't open when you clicked on the link, please ensure your browser's pop up blocker is turned off. If the pop up blocker is off and you still do not see a new window when you clicked the link, please ensure you have JavaScript enabled.

Registration Time
It should only take a few minutes. If you stop in the middle for several minutes, your session will expire and you will have to begin again.

Prices and Discounts
Registration always show current prices for your specific price group that is determined by your work environment. To view all registration fees, price groups and discounts click on "View Registration Fees" link. Events may have prices listed in different currencies that should be used as reference only and may vary based on daily exchange rates.

Registration Steps

ISPOR member, clicking on the "ISPOR Members" button will take you to the login page (if you are not logged in) and then to the "Enter/Edit Your Information" page. Here you will see your information as it is currently on file with ISPOR. You can edit this information as needed. It will automatically be saved when you click "Next".

non-members will be directed to a blank page to enter their information. When registering as a non-member, you receive an ISPOR membership which includes a one year on-line subscription to Value in Health - The Journal of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research.

Once you have all your information as you want it, clicking "Next" will take you the "Event Registration" page. Check your Personal Information on the ISPOR name badge displayed on the top of the page. Then select the events you would like to purchase by clicking on the radio button next to the event description. Make sure you don't choose events that overlap, such as a short course that is scheduled for Saturday morning and one for Saturday that runs all day. If the item has a quantity drop down box, select the quantity as needed.

Payment
When you have made your selections, click "Next" to proceed to the "Payment" page. Here you will see a table with the items you have chosen. If you would like to edit the choices, click "Previous" and choose the correct events. You may remove items by checking the item's box and clicking "Remove Selected". You can adjust quantities by selecting a new quantity (if applicable) from the drop down list. Next, choose the payment method you will be using. You may pay by credit card, check or bank transfer. Next, you may optionally add any specific information you need added to your receipt/invoice such as company codes, PO numbers, VAT numbers. Simply type them in the box and they will be added to the receipt and invoice.

Notes about payment methods: if you choose bank transfer, you must contact ISPOR after submitting the registration form to complete the registration process. Since most people pay with a credit card, it is selected by default. If that is your payment method, select the appropriate credit card type. Next fill in your credit card information. There are 4 fields, card-holder name, card number, card code and expiration date. All fields must be filled in or your order can not be processed. The card-holder name is the name as it appears on the credit card. The number is the card number with no spaces or dashes. The card code, or V code, is the area where some people have trouble. First let's explain what it is and why you need it. The card code is a 3 or 4 digit non-raised number near or in the signature panel. It is printed on the back of Visa and MasterCard, after your credit card number (some cards may only have the last 4 digits of your credit card number instead of the entire number). The card code is the last set of numbers. On American Express, the 4 digit code is on the front of the card above the credit card number.

The reason we require you to provide the code is so that we can make reasonably sure the person who is using the card has the actual card in his or her possession and didn't get the credit card number without the card owner's knowledge. Since the card code is not a raised number that gets printed on receipts, if someone steals a credit card number from a receipt, they generally won't have the card code. If your card doesn't have a card code, you will not be able to use it. You may not leave the card code field blank. If you enter an incorrect card code, the card processing company will decline your transaction and there will be a hold put on the funds by your bank for a day or two until the card processor and the bank settle.

Receipt and Itinerary
Once you have filled payment information click "Submit" once and wait for the process to finish. Depending on the speed of the Internet connection and traffic on the web, it may take a moment. You should see your Confirmation page with Purchase Summary and Your Event Itinerary. Please print Confirmation page and bring Itinerary to Registration desk at the ISPOR Event. Keep purchase receipt for your records. You will also receive email confirmation.

  • If you paid by credit card, the information is being sent to the card processor. The processor will determine if the transaction is approved or not. If it is, you will be shown a "confirmation/receipt" page that you may print for your records. If the card processor declines your credit card, you will see a message explaining why in red near the credit card information boxes. If you were declined, you can try a different card or a different payment method.
  • If you paid by check or bank transfer you will show a balance due on the receipt. You make click on "Generate Invoice" to see a printable invoice suitable for use for reimbursement if someone other than you is paying for your registration.
  • You will also be sent an email
Regardless, if you don't see a confirmation/receipt page, there will be a message in red on the payment page. This means you are not successfully registered. If you still have a problem or question not answered in the FAQs, use the link below to let us know.

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

My company is going to pay for my registration. How do I do this?
Fill out the registration form, choosing check or bank transfer depending on how your company will pay. Submit the registration form. On the confirmation/receipt page click "Generate Invoice". You are now registered and can print the invoice or email it to your company. The invoice contains all the information the company needs to pay ISPOR for your registration. You may email the invoice to who ever you like by entering their email address in the box and clicking "Email Invoice to:"

I was registering and I got a message saying "Due to a period of inactivity, your session has expired." Why?
For security reasons, we only allow 15 minutes to register once you begin. Your session expired if you took longer than 15 minutes to complete the process.

My credit card doesn't have a card code. What do I do?
You will need to use a different card or pay by check or bank transfer.

I got to the confirmation/receipt page but no confirmation email. Why?
If you got to the confirmation/receipt page, you are registered. Your email box may be full, you may have typed you email address incorrectly or your ISP may be having problems.

I don't see the correct price for the event. Why?
Check that you are in the price group you should be. Prices are determined by your ISPOR Member status and your work environment. You can edit your information on the "Enter/Edit Your Information" page.

My card was declined. Why?
Usually, it is because the wrong card code was entered. Click here for more information.

I want to pay by Bank Transfer. What do I do?
Fill out the registration, choose "Bank Transfer" as your payment method and submit the registration form. Then contact ISPOR to complete the bank transfer.
I got a message saying "The credit card processor is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." Why?
All credit card orders go through a payment processing center. If the center is temporarily unable to process requests, you may see this message. Please try to register in a few minutes.
