Press Information

ISPOR invites credentialed journalists to cover its scientific meetings. Journalists are required to complete an application form, and ISPOR will grant press passes based on a formal review and vetting of submitted materials.

Press passes are available for journalists and correspondents representing newspapers, news programs, industry newsletters, and business publications that operate within the scope of ISPOR's mission and objectives.

ISPOR Press Pass Benefits

An ISPOR Press Pass entitles the recipient to one complimentary registration to attend all open meeting sessions. ISPOR business meetings and board meetings are not open to the media.

Members of the media are strongly encouraged to send ISPOR examples of their coverage after the meeting. We ask that the meeting name, date, and location be appropriately credited (eg, “from ISPOR’s Event”) in all media coverage, including print news stories, e-newsletters, web postings, blogs, or video coverage. All print, broadcast, and electronic media clips/write-ups, etc., should be sent to ISPOR Communications at ISPOR does not share, rent, or distribute media registration information.

ISPOR supports the promotion of research presented at its meetings/congresses, while safeguarding sensitive information, data, and research findings that are not yet available to the public. Due to the sensitive and preliminary nature of data and unpublished research findings, all filming (photos + video) and recording of scientific sessions and the poster hall is prohibited during the congress. Congress attendees must gain approval from a speaker or poster presenter prior to quoting or publishing that individual's scientific results. Members of the press must identify themselves as such before questioning speakers and meeting attendees if using the information in a professional capacity.

ISPOR's Embargo and Legal policies must be noted.


Contributed research presenters at ISPOR Annual International Meeting, Annual European Congress, biennial Asia Pacific Conference, or biennial Latin America Conference issuing press releases relating to their contributed research presentation are required to abide by the following ISPOR Press Release Embargo Policy.

For Contributed Research Presentations at ISPOR Annual International Meeting and ISPOR Annual European Congress:

Promotion of general topics, speakers, or presentation times is permitted and encouraged within the stated guidelines.

  • For press releases referring ONLY to information contained in the contributed research abstract, [i.e. information limited to OBJECTIVES, METHODS, RESULTS, and CONCLUSIONS of the abstract], all information is embargoed until the time of publication of the abstract online at the ISPOR website ( or by the publisher of Value in Health. Contributed research abstracts for the ISPOR Annual International Meeting and Annual European Congress are available online approximately one month prior to the each respective meeting/congress.
  • For press releases referring to information which go beyond that contained in the contributed research abstract [i.e. OBJECTIVES, METHODS, RESULTS, and CONCLUSIONS of the abstract] such as additional analysis, commentary, or updated information from those individuals and companies involved in the study, the information is embargoed until the time of the publication of a PDF of the podium or poster presentation in the ISPOR Scientific Presentations Database or on the first day of the meeting/congress whichever is first.
