DRUG FORMULARY MANAGEMENT WORKING GROUP

Goal: 
The goal is to create a forum for practitioners and scientists to discuss the formulary management issues such as applications of the outcomes research in the formulary evaluations, medication use evaluations (MUE) criteria development, organizational experience of drug uses, and establishment of evidence-based drug use policies.
 
Tasks:
  • Develop a library of:
      - Medication use evaluation criteria
      - Data collection forms
      - Drug monograms
      - Economic evaluations
      - Evidence-based drug use policies.
  • Determine and publish via internet the potential risks of medications using the failure mode effect analysis (FMEA).
  • Publish case examples on the medication use/evaluation practices.
