ARCHeS Innovator – Online Clinical Trial Simulations
More and more, mathematical models are used to simulate clinical trials in order to:
- learn about drug effectiveness and safety
- optimize trial design
- perform cost-and comparative-effectiveness studies
- select drug candidates for advancement
Considering the complexity of clinical trials, it makes sense to rely on comprehensive models that have been validated against available evidence.
Archimedes is a health care modeling company that has built a large-scale simulation model of human physiology, diseases, interventions, and health care systems. Archimedes scientists continually calibrate and validate the Model by simulating real-world clinical trials and comparing the simulated results against the results of the original trial.
Through funding of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), the Archimedes Model can be accessed as software as a service (SaaS). ARCHeS Innovator allows users to run their own healthcare simulations using a comprehensive web interface with intuitive editors for setting up multi-scenario studies, specifying:
- background care
- standard or custom interventions
ARCHeS Innovator covers conditions, treatments, and outcomes related to cardio-metabolic risk (e.g. coronary artery disease, stroke, diabetes and its complications, obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and smoking).
