ISPOR AWARDS

ISPOR Scientific Awards

The Society's Awards are designed to recognize outstanding achievements in pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research. The ISPOR Scientific Awards are:

	•	ISPOR Avedis Donabedian Lifetime Achievement Award
	•	ISPOR Bernie J. O'Brien New Investigator Award
	•	ISPOR Award for Excellence in Methodology in Pharmacoeconomics and Health Outcomes Research
	•	ISPOR Award for Excellence in Application of Pharmacoeconomics and Health Outcomes Research

These ISPOR awards will be presented at the ISPOR 14th Annual International Meeting in Orlando, FL, May 16-20, 2009.
The ISPOR Awards Committee is now accepting nominations for all 4 awards. If you would like to nominate a candidate or yourself for one of the four awards, please send in the required nomination materials to: awards@ispor.org by FEBRUARY 13, 2009. ISPOR Patient Preference Methods – Conjoint Analysis Working Group has become an ISPOR Task Force. The Conjoint Analysis Good Research Practices Task Force was formed to: a) develop a checklist for good research practices for the application of conjoint analysis in outcomes research; b) develop good research practices for the design of conjoint analysis; c) develop good research practices for analyzing and interpreting a conjoint analysis in outcomes research; d) develop a good research practices for identifying and evaluating “patient-relevant outcomes; and e) develop a ‘book of terms’ for conjoint analysis good research practices. The Economics of Compliance working group of the Medication Compliance and Persistence SIG had the following accepted for publication in Value in Health: "Costs of Medication Non-adherence in Patients with Diabetes Mellitus: A Systematic Review and Critical Analysis of the Literature"

The manuscript will be published in ViH Volume 12 Issue 6.
