The ISPOR Press Release Program has been designed to increase the awareness of
health care outcomes research and its usefulness in health care decisions to the
general public.
This program offers authors of contributed scientific papers from ISPOR
Meetings/Congresses as well as in Value in Health to publicize their scientific
findings in much simpler terms to reach a broader public audience.
To participate in this ISPOR Press Release Program, select the type of scientific paper
(Meeting/Congress or Value in Health) for a sample and the ISPOR Press Release
Form. An example of an ISPOR Press Release and its original technical abstract
is provided followed by a Press Release Form.
Note: In preparing your Press Release, please remember that you are writing for
an audience that will not understand technical terms used in our profession.
Your findings should be brief. Use simple, easy-to-read words that the “average
person” can understand.
