The objective of this program is to demonstrate how managed care
organizations are utilizing pharmacoeconomic information in their
formulary decision-making process and the challenges these organizations
frequently encounter when doing so. The challenges the pharmaceutical
industry faces when providing pharmacoeconomic information to a large
number of diverse customers with varying perspectives in the U.S. will
also be presented. Different perspectives on issues related to the use of
pharmacoeconomic information by U.S. managed care organizations will be
discussed.

health plans, PBMs, physicians) uses pharmacoeconomic information in their

diversity in the extent of such utilization and type of information
considered important. Challenges the pharmaceutical industry faces in
trying to meet the pharmacoeconomic information needs of these diverse
customers will be presented. |
