Polish Society of Pharmacoeconomics (PTFe)
Student Section
- In order to provide a professional environment where students can share knowledge in pharmacoeconomics and health outcomes research and discuss current issues about health economics and outcomes research, the Board of PTFe decided to create Student Section within the Polish Society of Pharmacoeconomics
- Initial meeting of the Student section enrolled took place on May 29, 2006 in Warsaw - 25 members were enrolled.
- Objectives of the Student Section of PTFe are:
o To promote interest and awareness about pharmacoeconomics, health outcome research to various disciplines across members of health-related organizations and universities in Poland
o Act as a resource for new students interested in
pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research.
o Provide an opportunity for student section members to become familiar with activities of ISPOR as well as have an opportunity to communicate directly
o To provide an environment where students can share knowledge in pharmacoeconomics and health outcomes research.
- Student Section will be supported by the Members and the Board of PTFe by scientific lectures , discussion forum development, mentoring, etc
o Presentation entitled: “Pharmacoeconomics from Polish point of view ” was presented by Marcin Czech on May 29, 2006
o Next presentation titled “Health and economics” is planned for October 2006
o Forum for the presentation of innovative ideas on
www.farmakoekonomika.pl was created
o Next scientific workshop is planned in November 2006
