HOW TO START AN ISPOR
LOCAL CHAPTER
BACKGROUND
ISPOR
encourages wide involvement in the field of pharmacoeconomics and outcomes
research both internationally and at the local level. In supporting the
formation of the ISPOR Chapters, ISPOR supports the orderly development of the
discipline of pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research at the local level. A
local chapter may be a chapter of a city, a state or province, a country, or a
region of a country.
BENEFITS
The
Society benefits through increased international coordination of efforts in
pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research. Other Society benefits are increased
visibility through and increased distribution of the ISPOR newsletter (ISPOR
CONNECTIONS), increased recruitment on a student and local level, as well as
the increasing number of local hosts for ISPOR programs.
ISPOR
Chapters benefit through the use of the logo of the International Society, ISPOR’s well-established reputation, and the international affiliation and
support it provides, as well as the potential for joint program sponsorships.
In addition, Chapters are encouraged to publish reports and activities in ISPOR
CONNECTIONS, and / or the ISPOR website.
