ISPOR LATIN AMERICA CONSORTIUM ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The ISPOR Latin America Consortium Advisory Committee is a group of individuals who have demonstrated a continuing interest in advancing the science of pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research in Latin America, as well as have encouraged the use of this science by health care decision-makers in this region.

 

The Advisory Committee advises the Executive Committee on new initiatives, health science or health policy issues, and other activities of the Consortium.

 

ISPOR Latin America Consortium Advisory Committee Membership

  • Membership on the Advisory Committee is determined by the Executive Committee.
  • Members may or may not be a resident of a country in Latin America and may or may not be an ISPOR member.
  • Each country represented on the Executive Committee should have at least 1 member on the Advisory Committee, who resides in the country.
  • Members who are inactive (i.e. do not participate in Consortium activities via email or teleconference over a 6 month period) will be asked to resign
  • Membership on the Advisory Committee is evaluated each year to assure that all work environments, as well as country perspectives, are represented on the Committee (academia, research organizations, health decision-makers, and industry)
  • The term for an Advisory Committee member is 2 years and is renewable
  • Membership renewal is contingent upon Membership Committee approval

The ISPOR Latin America Consortium Advisory Committee is led by the Advisory Committee Chair.

 

Election of the ISPOR Latin America Consortium Advisory Committee Chair & Chair-elect

 

The Chair & Chair-elect of the Advisory Committee are elected positions. All interested Advisory Committee members are eligible to be candidates. All Advisory Committee members are eligible to vote.

 

The Chair is recommended initially by the ISPOR Latin America Consortium Executive Committee, and then elected by the ISPOR Advisory Committee members. The term of the Chair is 2 years. All interested Advisory Committee members are eligible to be candidates. All Advisory Committee members are eligible to vote. The candidate with the majority votes is the new Chair. The Chair then conducts the election of the Chair-elect.
