The EuroQol Group consists of a network of international multi-disciplinary researchers from
Europe, North America, New Zealand, South Africa and Japan. Their collaboration resulted in
EQ-5D - a standardised, non-disease-specific instrument for describing and valuing health.
EQ-5D is in widespread use in many countries and has been applied in many different
settings. EQ-5D is now an integral feature of many clinical trials and is increasingly used in
population health surveys.

The EuroQol Group Foundation is formally registered in the Netherlands. The objective of the
