About Taipei, Taiwan

GETTING THERE: Most international flights use the Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), which is approximately 45 kilometers, or 45 minutes by car, from Taipei City.  The closest airport to the Taipei International Convention Center is the Songshan Airport (TSA), a mostly domestic airport situated in the Songshan District of downtown Taipei.  This airport is approximately 15 minutes from the Taipei International Convention Center.

Transportation options from the Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) to the Taipei International Convention Center:
Taxi: A taxi from the Taoyuan International Airport to the Taipei International Convention Center  will cost approximately TWD1,300 for the  45-minute journey.
Bus:  The Airport Airbus runs approximately every 20-30 minutes, the cost is approximately TWD145 per person.  Tickets can be purchased at the Airport Airbus desk in the arrivals hall (and from your hotel concierge for the return).

Transportation options from the Songshan Airport (TSA) to the Taipei International Convention Center:
Taxi: A taxi from the Songshan Airport to the Taipei International Convention Center takes about 15 minutes and costs approximately TWD150.
Metro (MRT):  The MRT trip takes approximately 20 minutes and the fare is about TWD25.  Take the brown line to the Taipei Main Station, then the blue line to Taipei City Hall Station (about 10 minutes walk to the Convention Center).  Please visit the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation site for more information.
