Evolving trends in HTA: Comparing the Evidence
This symposium will compare some of the key markets in terms of their Health Technology Assessment (HTA) structure, the recent activity of the HTA decision making body, the kinds of decisions that have been made, and the likely focus and impact on future health care costs and outcomes.
A framework for comparing "HTA effectiveness" will be put forward and at 2 or more countries will be compared using that framework. Implications for medical innovation, health care quality and cost management will be discussed in light of this analysis.
