The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) has developed an electronic index (Digest) of key attributes of health care databases around the world available at the ISPOR website, which is accessible to the public. The Digest is a compendium of 194 databases. These databases list key attributes of health care data from around the world.
The digest is grouped by country and allows key word searches and searches by type of database. Currently, there are 194 databases from 39 countries
The ISPOR INTERNATIONAL DIGEST OF DATABASES is an invaluable source of information for health care outcomes researchers around the world. This information is also very useful to health care decision-makers, clinicians, and ultimately, patients.
This Digest was an initiative of the ISPOR Retrospective Database Special Interest Group. We would like to thank the co-chairs Carl Asche PhD, Associate Professor, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA and Gordon Cummins MS, National Account Manager, Surveillance Data Inc., Farmington, MO, USA and the ISPOR Retrospective Database SIG for their vision and guidance in the development of this initiative.
